Temporal trajectories and trend of foliage projective cover (FPC) from Landsat image time series
A Landsat image time series (LITS), defined as a sequence of Landsat images with best possible level of geometric and radiometric consistency and temporal resolution capable of accounting vegetation phenology with observations in every 16 days can be produced using available Landsat scenes and MODIS reflectance.
A time series of foliage projective cover (FPC) can be derived from the LITS and used to examine the temporal trajectories and long term trend of FPC in different vegetation communities.
