Cyclone / hurricane impacts
Cyclone / hurricane impacts are characterised in general by:
- damage to bottom features (e.g. seagrass or coral cover), which could change composition and shape (e.g. bathymetry and rugosity),
- plume due to run off from land through torrential downpour,
- Fast monitoring of the damaged area is required close after the impact the extent of the area impacted can cover large areas (e.g. several reefs).
