Environments

We recognise that remote sensing can be applied to a broad range of "environments" :

  • Terrestrial: Abiotic and biotic features above the high-tide limit to its boundary layer with the atmosphere
  • Marine: Abiotic and biotic features below the high-tide limit to the sea-floor
  • Atmospheric: Region extending from terrestrial and marine boundary layer to the ionosphere
