Airborne radar
Airborne radar is an active system mounted on aircraft or helicopters. Radar is a ranging system, measuring reflectance and distance of a target from the sensor. The sensor transmits and measures a response, using microwave (1mm - 3m) wavelengths for radar. Interpretation and analysis of these data sets requires a completely different approach to standard optical image data.
