FLR Case Study Guidelines

Please provide a case study for landscape forest restoration with details on the nature of the landscape and land use practices. The case study may be hypothetical, demonstrate intensions, or present results of successful project. The aim is to demonstrate your approach for assessing FLR strategies. Please contact David Lamb to add your case study to the list

Submit a description of your case study that broadly follows these guidelines.

Description: Describe land use patterns and vegetation types.

Maps: Provide a map to illustrate the landscape, i.e. land cover, land uses, contours, drainage, land ownership, etc.

Degradation Issue: Define the most acute problem(s) and the nature of what needs to be addressed.

Decision Context: Explain influential factors affecting restoration efforts.

Future Visions: What is the community aspirations for the area.

Restoration Options: Outline the main options to achieve an balance of ecological, social and economic considerations.

Method of Evaluation and Tools: Describe the methodology and how it was applied with decision support tool.

Results: Give results of the analysis
