BIOPTI image simulation tool

This spreadsheet provides a tool that enables you to simulate how different levels of water quality would be mapped using a range of commercially available imaging sensors. By running the simulation you can determine if your application is possible and which satellite would be best suited to it. The spreadsheet is driven by specifications of the concentrations of absorbing (e.g. chlorophyll) or scattering (e.g. suspended sediment) features you are trying to map and some basic parameters describing the optical properties of the water body you are working in.
