About CSER

The aim of the centre is to provide a research and training environment for solving problems associated with mapping, monitoring and modelling various environments using geospatial data and analysis..
This aim will be achieved by:
  1. Providing and maintaining the necessary infrastructure, technical experience and research training through staff-student projects to become the primary postgraduate Spatial/Geographic Information Sciences research university in Queensland and Australia.
  2. Providing complementary coverage to the Spatial CRC and existing government and university programs in spatial information and spatial information applications.
  3. Implementing collaborative staff and student based projects with government agencies, private companies and non-government organizations.
The aim of the website is to provide an overview of CSER, its people and shared resources in a structured review of the centre, in terms of its staff and students, and their teaching and research capacities.
